Happy New Year peeps!
We celebrated (yes, actually celebrated) New Years Eve in beautiful Waipu with Mum and Geoff and had a brilliant time.  We beached all afternoon, had some drinks at the pub then returned home for a BBQ, awesome music, dancing and we got to see the New Year in with {exhausted} Ethan for the first time – he made it by the skin of his teeth!
2013 was the best year ever for my family and I.  After so many hard years that I couldn’t wait to see the back of, I’m so grateful for all of the blessings we received over the 12 months.  Most importantly, the birth of Nixon and the subsequent transformation of Ethan into a big brother.
I’m almost scared that something lies ahead, and of course it does.  You wouldn’t truly be able to appreciate the good times without also knowing struggle.  So what can you do but make hay while the sun shines right!
I don’t make resolutions but there are a few projects and goals I have on my radar for the year ahead;

  • Complete a crochet ripple blanket
  • Make another advent calendar as a gift
  • Learn how to crochet christmas stars for embriodery hoop gifts
  • Complete Project 52
  • Maintain weekly spreads for my Project Life Binder
  • Run a 5km race
  • Get this blog cranking!
  • Make a pavlova
  • Make a quilt
  • Practice being more patient
  • Save so we can go on a family holiday overseas.
  • Enjoy a dry January – no drinking Jan 2nd – Feb 2nd {omg!}
  • Lose 3 more kilos.
  • Eat less chocolate.

Ughhh, look how intertwined those last three are, boring!

That should do it, enjoy this gorgeous weather lovelies x
