Beauty Review | Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream
WELCOME TO THE MUMMY MAKE-UP PROJECT! I’M FIVE YEARS SHY OF 40 AND AFTER 20 YEARS OF CLUELESS MAKE-UP APPLICATION, 2015 IS THE YEAR OF TURNING DRAB TO FAB. I’M GOING TO FIND THE BEST SKINCARE AND MAKE-UP PRODUCTS, SHARE THEM WITH YOU AND ACTUALLY LEARN HOW TO USE THEM. I WOULD LOVE YOUR ADVICE ALONG THE WAY AS WELL AS YOUR SUPPORT – I’M SURE I’M NOT THE ONLY MUMMY OUT THERE WHO IS COMPLETELY CLUELESS ABOUT MAKE-UP!
So, in keeping with my new resolution to actually spend a little bit of time each day taking care of my skin, I have added a product to my limited routine which can get all of it’s work done at night while I’m catching up on (not enough!) sleep.
You won’t be surprised to hear that I have never used a night cream before. Previously, if I bothered to remove my makeup before bed, I would just pop on whatever daily moisturizer I was currently using and call it a day.
Sadly, advancing age and a recurring failure to drink enough water means I often wake with my skin feeling dry and looking sallow and worse than it did before bed!
Some new products take longer to get used to than others, as such, it’s taken about a week for my skin to settle down after introducing Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream. This is an intense moisture surge that initially left my skin feeling slightly oily and caused a few spots. Happy to report that this is now a thing of the past and my skin looks positively freaking dewy when I wake up! Adding a night cream has made a huge difference in how my skin feels throughout the day, starting with a hydrated base is resulting in a much more natural, smooth makeup application, and I find that afternoon oil-slicks are now a thing of the past. I’m picking this is probably due to my skin no longer feeling like it’s got to produce huge amounts of oil to compensate for it’s dehydrated state?
So, here’s the vital stats;
- Named Best Night Cream in 2014 at NZ Best in Beauty Awards
- Rosapene is a trademarked antioxidant complex containing an organic blend of Rosehip oil, lycopene from tomato and phytosterol from acai
- Also contains superheroes goji berry extract, manuka honey and avocado oil
Why do I need it?
- Skin cell production is at its highest while we rest
- Water loss and blood flow are highest at night ergo; the skin is most receptive to nourishing natural activities while we sleep.
Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream (60ml) RRP $54.90
